I was a regular contributor to the university’s weekly newspaper. My articles focused predominantly on the music industry, giving me the opportunity to interview successful touring artists like The Gaslight Anthem and Explosions in the Sky, as well as up-and-coming local groups. I co-hosted a weekly radio show called “Mega Mondays.” During the hour and a half long show, I played alternative music ranging from the fringes to the more conventional. I also guest hosted “Fall Short Media,” a punk music show.

Awards and Other Qualifications

 

Co-writer of a Staged Production

The Tremendously Timeless Tales of The Antidote and Kid Cure was staged at McGill University’s Players’ Theater for a two week run in April 2015. The hour-long play dealt with the evolving role of superheroes in society. The comedic drama was inspired by classic graphic novels like All-Star Batman, The Killing Joke and Watchmen, as well as the quirky spirit of the Silver Age of comics.

 

Recipient of the 2013 Desjardins Scholarship

This scholarship was based on academic merit with consideration for community and extracurricular involvement.

 

Certified Scuba diver

Received my “open water” certification from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), allowing me to scuba dive to a depth of 60 ft. using a tank of oxygen.
